Take a photo of a paper business card and Swopi AI makes a new contact from it. You do not type anything.
#How to scan a card
- Tap Scan at the bottom.
- At the bottom, pick the Paper card mode.
- Point your phone at the card so it fits in the frame, then tap the capture button.
- A new contact opens right away with the photo of the card. Swopi AI fills in the details in the meantime.
- Check the details and tap Save. The app then takes you to Contacts.
The button left of the capture button lets you pick a photo of a card from your gallery. The button on the right turns on the light. You can also open the scanner from Contacts: tap + and pick Scan a Card or Badge.
#Send your card back
On the new contact you see the option Send my Swopi card on save. It is on by default. If the contact has an email address, they get your card by email after you save. If you do not want that, turn the option off before you save.
#If the card cannot be read
The contact stays saved with the photo of the card. Fill in the details yourself, or take the photo again, for example in better light.
#How many scans you have
- Free: 5 trial AI scans in total. They are shared between paper cards, badges and QR codes. You see how many are left at the top of the scanner.
- Pro: 200 scans per month.
- Event Intelligence: unlimited scanner.
When your scans run out, the app offers you a higher plan. You can close the offer and stay in the scanner.
