An event badge often shows only a name and a company. Take a photo of it and Swopi AI makes a contact and looks for the company, email and phone.
#How to scan a badge
- Tap Scan at the bottom.
- At the bottom, pick the Event badge mode.
- Capture the whole badge with all text, most of all the full name and company. Do not scan just the QR code on the badge.
- A new contact opens. You can save it right away, even while Swopi AI is still looking up details. It fills them in later.
- Tap Save.
You also find these tips in the scanner under How to.
#Who can scan badges
- Event Intelligence: unlimited scanner.
- Team member with an Event Lead Capture licence: the badge scanner comes with the licence.
- Free: try badges with your 5 trial AI scans. They are shared with paper cards and QR codes.
- Pro: you get 5 extra trial badge scans with your plan.
When your trial scans run out, the app offers you Event Intelligence. You can close the offer and keep looking around the scanner.
#Does the badge have a QR code?
Badges often carry a QR code with contact details. You can read it in the LinkedIn QR mode. See Scanning a LinkedIn QR code.
#Tip for events
Turn on Event Mode. After you save a contact, the scanner stays ready for the next badge, and each contact gets the event name.
