Someone shows you their LinkedIn QR code and a moment later they are in your contacts. Swopi AI looks up more details from the profile.

#How to do it

  1. Tap Scan at the bottom.
  2. At the bottom, pick the LinkedIn QR mode.
  3. Point your phone at the QR code. You do not need to tap anything, the code is read on its own.
  4. A new contact opens with a link to the LinkedIn profile. Swopi AI fills in the name and other details.
  5. Tap Save.

Until Swopi AI finds the real name, the contact may have a short name taken from the profile link. It updates on its own once the details are in.

#What else this mode can read

The LinkedIn QR mode also reads other QR codes with contact details:

  • A contact QR code (vCard), like the ones often printed on event badges.
  • The QR code of another Swopi card. The details come straight from that card.
  • A QR code with a website link.

#If the code is not read

Move your phone closer so the whole QR code is sharp and inside the frame. More light also helps.

#How many scans you have

Each QR code you read counts as one scan.

  • Free: 5 trial AI scans in total, shared with paper cards and badges.
  • Pro: 200 scans per month.
  • Event Intelligence: unlimited scanner.
