Before a Swopi card or sticker can open your digital card, you need to activate it once in the app. It takes a few seconds, and the first activation is free on every plan.
#Steps
- Open the Swopi app and sign in.
- Tap Settings at the bottom and choose Activate a Swopi Device.
- If you have more than one card, choose the card the device should open.
- Tap Begin activation with NFC.
- Hold the device to the top of the back of your phone for a moment.
- When the activation is done, tap Done.
Now the device opens your card for anyone who holds it to their phone.
#Activate with a QR code
If your phone does not read the device, tap Begin activation with scanning QR instead and point the camera at the QR code on the device.
#Activate right after sign up
When you create your first card, you see the button I have a Swopi device at the end. Tap it and then tap Activate now. If you do not have the device with you, tap Maybe later and activate it any time in Settings.
#If the activation fails
- Device already has an owner: the device is active on a different account. Email us at support@swopi.co.
- Device not found: tap Try again or use the QR code activation. If that does not help, email support@swopi.co.
- On Android, check that NFC is turned on in your phone settings.
#Link the device to another card From Pro
You can move an active device to another one of your cards. Go through the steps above again and choose a different card in step 3.
